Most home quizzes are too long and too uniform. Forty questions of the same kind is an endurance test and the room quietly leaves.

Alternating the format is what holds attention, and it is the piece that a list of questions can never supply on its own.

Players marked as little ones get their own segment, where they are asked something impossible, like summarising War and Peace or advising on interest rates.

Whatever they do in reply is accepted by the judges and the whole table gets ten points, which is the only fair way to include a two year old in a quiz.

Can I remove a segment I do not like?

Yes. The editor shows every segment in the running order, and you can cut, reorder or replace any of them before the show starts.

Who decides if an answer is right?

The host. Quizriella reveals the answer and hands the host the buttons for awarding points, stealing, or ruling that nobody deserves anything.

Can we practise before the guests arrive?

Yes. Rehearsal mode runs a few segments against your own cast so a first-time host knows what the buttons do before the room is watching.
