Individuals, pairs, and a segment for the babies

Scoring that stays alive to the end

Scoring can be per person or per team, and Quizriella can pair a big cast up automatically so nobody is sat alone against their whole family.

Later questions can be worth double and a final round changes the maths, so nobody is mathematically finished with twenty minutes to go.

What it does

Automatic teams

Pair up a larger cast in one tap, or set the teams yourself.

Double points and a final round

The stakes rise as the show goes on, which keeps the bottom half interested.

Steals and dares

Points move sideways as well as up, through hot seat steals and wheel dares.

Little ones

The smallest players score for the whole table rather than competing with it.

How it works

Step 1

Choose the mode

Individuals for a small group, teams for a bigger one.

Step 2

Let it pair the cast

Automatic pairing when there are enough players to make teams worthwhile.

Step 3

Play the show

The host awards points as each answer is revealed.

Step 4

End on the podium

A result, a winner, and something for the group chat.

Why teams fix a family quiz

A twelve year old against three adults is not a competition, and everybody in the room can feel it by round two.

Pairing across the age gap turns the same questions into a game where both halves of a team have something to contribute.

Keeping the loser in the game

The fastest way to lose half a room is to let the scores settle early.

Double point questions, a final round and dares that swing points late are all there to stop the outcome being obvious before the end.

Frequently asked questions

How many people do you need for teams?

Teams become worthwhile at about four playing adults. Below that, individual scoring keeps everybody involved in every question.

Can we play again with the same people?

Yes. A cast can be saved as a group and reused, so the next show starts with everybody already in it.

Does it score automatically?

No, and that is deliberate. The host awards the points, because half the fun of a home quiz is arguing with the judge.
